LOMA: Laumeier Outdoor Music Amphitheatre

LOMA is Laumeier's outdoor event venue for a series of entertainment events throughout the year. An interesting mix of entertainment, food and beverages and the relaxed atmosphere of an open-air amphitheatre amid large-scale sculptures make this a venue for not-to-be-missed events!

Music+Movies features a local band followed by an outdoor movie on four Fridays in June. The series is free, and picnic blankets or lawn chairs are encouraged. Coolers permitted, no glass please.  No pets allowed for special events.

Concessions:

  • Gelato di Riso
  • Drinks and popcorn are available at the Laumeier booth

2010 Music+Movies:
This year’s series of movies are presented under the rubric of Surreal Suburbs. Each film describes ordinary things from daily life—a bike is stolen, a raffle is won—through extraordinary, and surreal, means. The human mind conjures fantastical tales and beasts, both bright and dark. Surreal Suburbs reminds us about how disorienting daily life can be.
