Community Scratch Block Workshop
As part of Laumeier After Dark: Fire & Light event, Laumeier will host a public iron pour, in partnership with Six Mile Sculpture Works. Participants of the scratch block workshop will design their own mold to create a unique cast iron sculptural tile, cast during the event! Use simple drawing and carving tools to make a cavity for the molten metal to fill. You can choose between a 6”x6” or 8”x8” block for your one of a kind work of art—which also make great trivets or garden stones. The workshop is free with the purchase of a scratch block.
