Discover Laumeier invites all ages to explore Laumeier’s 105 acres, uncover the inspiring effects of artmaking, and soak in the calming and restorative benefits of the natural landscape.
This year at Discover Laumeier:
Meet Pittsburgh-based Visiting Artists In Residence Lenka Clayton and Phillip Andrew Lewis and view their new outdoor installation.
Join St. Louis-based, Kranzberg Exhibition Artist Vaughn Davis, Jr. in a large-scale collaborative painting project. Be sure to also stop in the Aronson Fine Arts Center to see his solo exhibition, The Fabric of Our Time.
Connect with nature as a citizen scientist with Resident Community Artist Emily Hemeyer.
Team up in an exploration of clay with Resident Community Artist Lindsay Pichaske.
Inspired by our Visiting Artists In Residence, the Gateway Kite Club will also be at Discover Laumeier teaching kite-making and sharing tips and tricks for successful kite flying in any weather. Other wind-driven art activities will include making flags and wind chimes.
