SCULPTURE ADOPTION PROGRAM
Laumeier features more than 70 large-scale sculptures by internationally acclaimed artists set among the 105 acres of the Park. You can “adopt” your favorite sculptures at Laumeier to support the ongoing cleaning, maintenance and care of the artworks.
Sculpture adoptions start at just $25 and make the perfect gifts for loved ones! Adopting a sculpture is also a great way for classrooms and scout troops to support art and nature in the local community (see Group Adoptions below).
Any sculpture that is a part of Laumeier’s Permanent Collection and currently on view is available for adoption (see full list below). Adoption is active from the date of purchase/renewal through the end of the month preceding the renewal date. Adoption packets will be mailed within two weeks of purchase/renewal.
Contact Jillian Patton, Development Director, at 314.615.5267 or jpatton@laumeier.org with questions or for more information about Sculpture Adoption.
GIFT ADOPTIONS
Looking for a special gift? Sculpture adoptions make unique gifts that keep on giving all year long! Sculpture adoptions starting at the $50 level come with a personalized adoption certificate, professional photo of the adopted sculpture and sculpture fact sheet to commemorate your contribution.
A gift recipient will receive all of the Sculpture Parent benefits listed below, plus a notecard from the donor. For gift adoptions sent directly to the recipient, Laumeier is happy to fill out the notecard on the donor’s behalf using the message and signature line indicated on the order form. The notecard will be included but left blank for any gift adoptions sent directly to the donor.
ADOPTION RENEWALS
When an adoption is renewed, Laumeier will extend the adoption and ensure that the name of the Sculpture Parent continues to appear in all recognition listings for another year. Renewal adoptions of the same sculpture will receive an updated adoption certificate for the new year. Renewal adoptions of a different sculpture will receive a new adoption package for the newly adopted sculpture.
