Find inspiration in the natural environment and sculptures for a variety of art projects and activities! Laumeier's Free Family Days encourage observation, imagination, curiosity and creativity. Families explore new media and concepts together and find inspiration in Laumeier’s artworks and the natural environment. Activities are designed to be simple enough for ages 4 and up to enjoy, yet complex enough that more experienced young artists can take their projects to the next level. Select Second Sundays / All ages / 2–4 p.m.
Supported by a grant from the Windgate Foundation.
FREE FAMILY DAYS / Sub-Zero Creations:
Find inspiration from Laumeier’s snowy landscape while creating art indoors! Work with materials that shimmer like ice and learn how animals keep warm in the winter. Then, make sure to visit David Hutson’s neon exhibition: Memory + Desire before it closes the next day!
All Ages / Sunday, January 13 / 2–4 p.m.
