TEEN ART PROGRAMS
Teen Programs encourage teen artists ages 13-18 to explore their individual interests as they push themselves to try new skills, bond with fellow artists, and gain independence while surrounded by beautiful sculptures and natural wonders. Teen artists ages 13-15 may enroll in full-day Art Squad and or Teen Art Programs.
NEW! / ANIME CLUB
Anime Club is for teen anime enthusiasts who want to build community, work on their own projects, and receive mentorship from an experienced artist and educator. Teen artists enrolled in Art Squad or Creative Workshop Series sessions may choose to add Anime Club to their registration, or teens may independently enroll in Anime Club.

CREATIVE WORKSHOP SERIES
The Creative Workshop Series. During the weekly sessions, teen artists work with local visiting artists to build artistic skills and community as they creatively express themselves. Each three-hour session has a unique focus, with materials ranging from clay, to ink, to paint; all materials are included. Teen artists may choose to enroll in one, several, or all sessions offered. This program takes place in the indoor studios of the Kranzberg Education Lab, with some activities happening outdoors on the Park grounds.
Tuesdays, June 10 - July 29, 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. $60/Session. All materials included.
June 10 / Sculpting Mugs & Pitchers
Work with a local artist to create a custom, functional handbuilt piece using earthenware clay.
June 17 / Drawing Anime
Work with a local artist to create your own character inspired by your favorite anime.
June 24 / Portrait Painting
Work with a local artist to create a contemporary portrait using acrylic paint.
July 1 / Sculpting Device Holders & Book Rests
Work with a local artist to create a custom, functional handbuilt piece using earthenware clay.
July 8 / Illustrating Fan Art
Work with a local artist to create a portrait of your favorite character using a variety of media on paper.
July 15 / Crafting Zines
Work with a local artist to create a self-published magazine featuring your chosen theme.
July 22/ Sculpting Lidded Storage Jars, Planters & Vases
Work with a local artist to create a custom, functional handbuilt piece using earthenware clay.
July 29 / Creating Comics
Work with a local artist to develop your writer’s voice and create your own comic on paper.
SUMMER APPRENTICESHIPS
Applications open Friday, January 17, 2025. Summer Apprenticeships are a fun and fulfilling way for teens to gain valuable work experience by learning art, education, and outdoor skills from our experienced Summer Programs staff at no cost to families. Summer Apprenticeships are available in a variety of schedules and can help fulfill volunteer credit hour requirements. We will work with families to determine a schedule and tasks that fit their teen’s needs and the needs of our programs, whether teens are available to participate the entire summer or just for several days. Before and after care offers flexibility for families with varied schedules. Our experienced before and after care staff provide a safe, fun, and caring environment for all artists who participate. Artists enrolled in full-day programs (Art Adventurers and Art Squad) are eligible to participate in both before and after care. Artists enrolled in half-day morning programs (Little Buds) are eligible to participate in before care. Teen artists enrolled in afternoon programs (Creative Workshop Series and Anime Club) are eligible to participate in after care. Space is limited.
EXCESSIVE HEAT ADVISORY
In the case of an Excessive Heat Advisory, full-day, fully outdoor programs (Art Adventurers) will be released at 1:30pm for the safety of our young artists and staff. Families will be contacted regarding weather-related closures and early releases by Laumeier's Summer Buzz Newsletter, delivered via email.

EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Scholarships for Art Camps and Teen Art Programs are available through the Laumeier Sculpture Park Education Scholarship Fund. Assistance is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be guaranteed for all applicants. To apply for a
scholarship, select “Apply” on the registration form. You do not need to supply any additional documents or information. THE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PERIOD IS OPEN. For more information, please email our education team at education@laumeier.org.
Scholarships are granted on the basis of financial need and are awarded on a sliding scale. Assistance is granted regardless of race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or nationality.
